Visit of the Fund’s Representatives to Sichuan University of Media and Communications

On April 21, the Chairman of the Fund, together with a delegation, visited Sichuan University of Media and Communications. During the visit, the delegation toured the Innovation and Application Laboratory of Virtual Reality and Audiovisual Technologies of the National Radio and Television Administration of China, as well as the China (Chengdu) Ultra-High-Definition Innovation and Application Base. The university’s Vice President and Director of the Laboratory, Professor Wang Jiafu, along with representatives of relevant departments, warmly welcomed the guests.

Dr. Sergey Avanesov and his colleagues personally ознакомились with the laboratory’s advanced audiovisual technologies, including green screen filming and real-time compositing, and took part in an interactive session with a panda as a symbol of Chinese culture. They gained a clear understanding of the university’s innovative achievements and its educational and practical activities in the fields of ultra-high-definition and virtual reality. Vice President Wang Jiafu spoke about the laboratory’s progress in integrating industry, education, and research, as well as in international cultural exchange. The parties held in-depth discussions on digital film production, the promotion of cultural brands in international markets, and the joint training of international specialists. Prospects for cooperation on the Chengdu “Film Silicon Valley” platform were also discussed, aimed at promoting Chinese cultural content in Eurasian countries.

This visit laid a solid foundation for further cooperation between Sichuan University of Media and Communications and international organizations in the field of digital media and international communications, and also opened new avenues for the university’s participation in implementing the national strategy for external cultural exchange.
