Dr. Sergey Avanesov, President of the Fund for Regional Development of Chinese-Armenian Relations, visited the Sichuan Promotion Association for the Belt and Road Initiative.

Dr. Sergey Avanesov, President  of the Fund for Regional Development of Chinese-Armenian Relations, visited the Sichuan Promotion Association for the Belt and Road Initiative.

On October 23, Dr. Sergey Avanesov, President  of the Fund for Regional Development of Chinese-Armenian Relations, and Dai Fengran, General Manager of Sichuan Overseas Warehouse Quality Products Import and Export TradeCo., Ltd, visited the Sichuan Promotion Association for the Belt and Road Initiative(SCBR)and had discussions and exchanges with Lin Zhongqing, the President of SCBR,Li Jinyi,Honorary President of the SCBR, and  Li Dongchuan,Secretary-General of SCBR.

The main responsibilities of the Fund for Regional Development of Chinese-Armenian Relations  are to promote regional cooperation, economic and cultural exchanges and financial services between the two countries. It has established a fund pool of 120 million US dollars, promoted the establishment of sister province-state relations between Hainan Province and the Shirakof Armenia, and prepared forinvestment in the construction of an industrial park in Hainan . The purpose of this visit is mainly to promote the progress of several projects through the platform of  SCBR. The first is to establish Russian banks and financial institutions in China, the second is to set up foundation branches and trade halls in Chengdu, and the third is to find partners to invest in filming A film and television work with the theme of the Mamikonyan family of Armenian independence heroes. The family’s ancestor is said to be Ma Kang, Ma Chao’s cousin during the Three Kingdoms period.

Dr. Sergey Avanesov said that he would introduce the main leaders of the Armenian state government to visit Sichuan and look for opportunities for cooperation. The Foundation can also utilize its overseas resources to provide support for member enterprises of the Association to invest and trade in Russia, Austria, Egypt and other countries.
