On August 6, 2023, the 2023 China (Beijing) International Audiovisual Conference (CIAC2023) was successfully concluded at the Beijing Etrong International Exhibition & Convention Center
The conference, co-sponsored by the Beijing Bureau of Radio and Television and the Management Committee of the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone, provides a unique platform for the Belt and Road cooperation between China and Armenia.
Dr. Sergey Avanesov, President of the Fund for Regional Development of Chinese-Armenian Relations, was invited to attend the conference.
As an important speaker at the conference, Mr. Sergey Manassarian, Ambassador of Armenia to China, delivered a speech entitled "Cooperation between China and Armenia on the Belt and Road". He discussed in depth the potential for cooperation between China and Armenia under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, and stressed the important role of both sides in jointly promoting regional development. The Ambassador in his speech emphasized the role of the Fund in the development of Chinese-Armenian relations and the importance of the Agreement signed with the Fund.
At the meeting, the China Intercontinental Communication Center, the Fund for Regional Development of Chinese-Armenian Relations, and Teledifusão de Macau jointly announced the release ceremony of cooperation intentions. China Intercontinental Communication Center, the Fund for Regional Development of Chinese-Armenian Relations officially signed a letter of intent for cooperation.
The letter of intent mentions that the two sides will actively promote cooperation and jointly explore effective ways and strategies for the exchange of film and television content. It will not only jointly broadcast the "Belt and Road" theme and Chinese cultural programs on Armenian local media, but also cooperate in film co-production, themed exchange activities, and new media exchanges and cooperation. The two sides look forward to promoting people-to-people exchanges and cooperation through this cooperation platform, deepening the friendly relations between the two countries and promoting the common prosperity of the China-Armenia region.
